Small group. Real impact
This page has been set up to support volunteers based on Saadiyat Island,
Abu Dhabi, who are caring for stray and abandoned cats who have nowhere else to go.
In recent weeks, the number of abandoned cats on Saadiyat has increased significantly. Many are left behind, injured, or born into conditions that make survival uncertain.
Everything we do is volunteer-led. We balance this work alongside full-time jobs and daily life. All care is currently funded through our own personal contributions.
This is not sustainable.
We often have to make difficult decisions about which cats we can help. Some receive treatment. Others have to wait. Some are left without the care they need.
That is the reality we are trying to change.
What we do
Feeding
We provide daily feeding, maintaining feeding stations to support cats that rely on consistent access to food.
TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return)
We humanely trap stray cats, have them neutered, and return themto their territory. This helps control the population and reduces suffering over time.
Rescue & stabilisation
We trap and assess cats in urgent need, providing immediate care for those who are injured, weak, or at risk.
Medical care
From routine treatments like vaccinations to urgent interventions, veterinary care is one of our biggest ongoing costs. This often includes infections, injuries, and dental issues common in street cats.
Fostering & rehoming
Where possible, we place cats into foster care and help them find permanent homes, both locally and abroad.
Transport & relocation
Some cats travel for a second chance. Flights, paperwork, and logistics are all part of getting them safely to new homes.

How this supports the cats
Saadiyat Cats is a community-led initiative focused
on cat welfare awareness and support in the Saadiyat area. No one involved takes payment. This is entirely volunteer-run.
Any linked products, designs, or merchandise are operated commercially by Creative Boutique Limited,
a company registered in the United Kingdom.
Product purchases are commercial transactions and are not donations. Payments, orders, production, shipping, returns, and customer data are handled by
the relevant third-party marketplace, ecommerce platform, print-on-demand provider, or payment processor under their own terms and privacy policies.
Print-on-demand platforms typically pay Creative Boutique Ltd around 10% commission per purchase.
Creative Boutique Limited will use its profits from the initiative to support our community cat care.
